To realize our ever challenging objectives, we are looking for an experienced Subcontract Manager (International Projects) for Grimbergen.

In this role you are responsible for all subcontractor purchasing activities for large and complex projects in close collaboration with the Project Manager and Project Purchaser. You act as a discussion partner from the quotation phase to the completion of a project.

 Your job?

  • actively define the purchasing strategy and its execution
  • analyze the market and develop cooperation agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • negotiate with subcontractors, taking into account all specific needs of the project
  • provide advice and collaborate with the project team
  • ensure that the internal customer’s requests are processed in accordance with specific guidelines
  • responsible for checking and monitoring contractual conditions and act accordingly in case of deviations or amendments
  • provide reports on the results achieved and the status of the purchasing process
  • anticipate and intervene on possible flaws such as delay, budget overrun, inefficiency,… in subcontractor performance
  • you report to the Department Manager

What do you need?

  • master in engineering, economics or law
  • relevant experience in project purchasing for large projects in an industrial environment and an international context
  • proven experience with regard to contracting, negotiating and/or project procurement
  • knowledge of international subcontracting and market players is a big plus
  • accurate, communicative, flexible and stress resistant
  • a real team player with a sense for initiative
  • very good knowledge of English and Dutch/or French. German is a plus
