Offshore Supervisor Maintenance and Monitoring

To expand its Offshore Wind ambitions and to strengthen its team on existing projects, Equans in Hoboken is looking for a Supervisor Offshore Services.   Decarbonisation, digitalisation, decentralisation and the need to decrease demand are redefining the world of energy. We can cover the entire lifecycle of our customers’ Offshore Wind projects. Our services include research & development, design, EPCIc, maintenance and monitoring. They are all geared towards optimum performance and cost of ownership during the entire lifecycle of the project. The Supervisor Offshore Services will function within the department Monitoring and Maintenance. This department is responsible for executing Offshore Wind service contracts, meaning full monitoring and multidisciplinary maintenance services for entire Offshore Wind farms. This includes the monitoring and maintenance of substations, wind turbines, hardware, software, low, medium and high voltage and auxiliary installations.In addition this department supporting the offshore commissioning and is responsible for warranty resolution of Equans built Offshore Substations. The Supervisor reports directly to the Project Managers and Operations Manager Offshore Services.

• as Supervisor Offshore Services you manage several Offshore teams with main focus on coordinating and managing the daily execution of projects of offshore assets for internal and external clients. The teams consist of in-house or external E/I and mechanical technicians combined with specialised sub-contractors. You are responsible for the safe execution of the project according all HSE procedures, instructions of Equans. Respecting planning and reporting with the aim to unburden clients by providing first time right excellent quality
• manage and coordinate service operations on site (onshore/offshore)
• manage and ensure electrical safety works on site
• ensures order, safety and tidiness on site
• responsible for the work sequence and safe-, high quality- and efficient execution of the works under his/her supervision
• coordinate, supervise and instruct the personnel under his responsibility
• detecting and registration of extra work
• report on the as-built situation of the works executed
• maintain and update planning
• responsible for daily progress reporting towards project management
• approve hours of technicians and subcontractors
• responsible for the implementation of all applicable instructions and procedures (also to subcontractors)
• ensure a working method conform the guidelines and procedures of the Quality Management System

Do you possess the following qualifications & skills?

• you have completed a relevant bachelor’s degree within a technical area or equivalent experience
• you have at least 5 years of experience working with electrical and/or mechanical systems, preferable offshore and/or with high voltage
• basic knowledge of MS Office and a full driver’s license
• you know how to manage general safety and safety awareness
• you are comfortable working offshore and at heights, coping with the respective challenges this brings
• willing to travel
• you can switch easily between tasks
• you are a self-starter and possess good organizational and time management skills
• as a person, you are flexible, reliable, technically competent and a team player. You can influence and lead others in a positive manner and contribute to a positive work environment
• you have excellent communication skills (Dutch and English)
