Quiet on set… 🎬

This month, we headed to our Grimbergen site for a full-on employer branding shoot. Our goal? To create content that highlights our expertise, the atmosphere in our offices and workshops, our professions, and our HR team. Keep an eye on our social media to check it out 👌.

We also visited Brussels’ district heating network, where heat from waste recovery is used to warm schools, buildings, and even the famous Royal Greenhouses. A project that perfectly reflects our commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly solutions.

Talents in action: young engineers visit our Grimbergen workshop 👩‍🏭👨‍🏭

Equans had the pleasure of welcoming four passionate students from KU Leuven’s International Welding Engineer program, accompanied by their professor. As part of their module on the construction and design of piping and pressure vessels, they got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at our expertise and facilities. On the agenda: an induction bending demo, a guided tour of our bending workshop, technical deep dives into welding and piping, and a presentation of our ongoing projects. We’re proud to have shared our know-how and passion for advanced techniques with these future experts. A great first step toward a potential career with us? 👷‍♀️

TenneT: a giant heads for the North Sea⚓️🌊

At our Hoboken site, a major milestone was reached: the third and final 4,200-tonne electrical substation for TenneT set sail. A remarkable feat of precision engineering that perfectly showcases Equans’ industrial expertise and team spirit. Hats off to everyone who made it happen!

This year at Equans is all about appreciation. After a series of fun and uplifting initiatives: hidden camera surprises, Compliment Day, and colleague selfies,  all our employees received a special surprise in the mail… but shhh, it’s still a well-kept secret! A great way to boost team spirit and the joy of working together.

Open Site Day (Open Wervendag): a look inside some of our projects 🏗️👀

On May 25, we opened the doors to two of our standout projects: the renovation of the Beverentunnel and the new Sportoase aquatic center in Sint-Niklaas. Visitors got a unique look at the progress, from raw structure to final finishes, and experienced the passion and expertise that drive our teams.

Spotlight on our experts: Les compagnons ⭐🎖️

48 colleagues were honoured with the title of “compagnon”, a mark of exemplary conduct and leadership on the ground. The ceremony, attended by William Bouygues and Jérôme Stubbler, was a proud moment that reflects our culture of excellence and recognition at Equans.

Sport and team spirit: Genk Loopt & Wandelt 🏃‍♂️🤝

Our team also showed their energy on the move, literally! On May 4, 38 colleagues proudly wearing Equans colours took part in Genk Loopt & Wandelt, combining sport and fun. The next challenge is already set for September, we’re aiming for the 21 km. Are you in?
