Cyber Security Expert

What if your cyber security expertise could protect critical IT and OT environments while shaping the security strategy of a leading organization? 

Equans is looking for a Cyber Security Expert to join our IT team within the Cyber Security department. In this role, you will partner with various stakeholders to implement security mitigations across IT and OT environments, respond to vulnerabilities and incidents reported by the SOC, and drive security assessments and testing for new development projects and existing solutions.

Your work location: Brussels

Zoom on the job: 

• collaborate with stakeholders to implement security mitigations in IT and OT environments
• respond to vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and incidents reported by the SOC
• conduct security assessments and testing for new development projects and existing solutions
• organize and oversee penetration testing for new and existing applications
• advise IT project teams on selecting cyber-secure solutions
• organize phishing simulation exercises and security awareness trainings
• perform firewall reviews

You will report directly to the MBU CISO BeLux.

Are we a match? 

• master’s degree in computer science, IT technologies, or cyber security
• minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in information security
• cyber security certifications are a plus
• experience performing security assessments, testing, or security operations
• strong knowledge of cloud security, network and communications security
• solid understanding of identity and access management (IAM)
• good understanding of OT (operational technology) security or willingness to deepen expertise
• communicative, team-oriented, and collaborative
• strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• creative, motivated, results-oriented, pragmatic, adaptable to change, and flexible
• fluency in English; Dutch and/or French is a definite plus
