In deze rol werk je in een technische omgeving waar je mee bouwt aan de IT‑infrastructuur in Mechelen en Leuven. Je combineert praktische taken met overleg en samenwerking, rechtstreeks in de datarooms. Onderweg verdiep je je expertise en leer je werken met verschillende apparatuur en systemen.

Jouw werklocatie: vaste site Mechelen (KBC datacenters, Mechelen & Leuven).

Wat ga je doen?

  • werken met het ticketingsysteem op de PC/laptop van KBC
  • plaatsen van actieve apparatuur in dataracks zoals switchen, servers, firewalls, patchpanelen, fiberpanelen en PDU’s
  • patching van koper en fiberoptic op basis van ticketinformatie
  • verwijderen van oude bekabeling of patching in dataracks
  • opvolgen van stock van patchcords, voedingssnoeren en klein equipment
  • werken in het ServiceNow platform van KBC
  • deelnemen aan wekelijkse meetings met de klant voor afstemming en planning
  • meedenken over toekomstige projecten samen met KBC
  • samenwerken in team in de datacenters (meestal met 2 of 3 collega’s of iemand van de klant)
  • begeleiden van externe personen in de datacenters (collocation zones)
  • deelnemen aan de permanentiedienst zodra je voldoende ervaring hebt opgebouwd

  • TSO elektromechanica (A2) of TSO elektriciteit (A2)
  • aantoonbare ervaring als datatechnieker of ervaring in datacenters
  • kennis van netwerkschema’s en as‑built plannen
  • ervaring met plaatsen, patchen en verwijderen van apparatuur in dataracks
  • je werkt graag zelfstandig binnen duidelijke afspraken en in overleg met het team
  • motivatie om opleidingen te volgen, zowel intern als bij leveranciers
  • je werkt zorgvuldig en controleert je werk omdat je het belang van correcte handelingen kent
  • je communiceert vlot met collega’s en klanten, hecht belang aan veiligheid en werkt graag samen

  • je hebt een goede kennis van het Nederlands; het Frans is een pluspunt
