As Head of Procurement Contract Management, you provide direction for contract management, category management and supplier relationship management across various multi-technical domains, from strategy through to execution. You work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and legal teams to align procurement with business objectives, compliance requirements and CSR commitments within Equans BeLux.

Your work location: Aartselaar.

Zoom on the job:

  • define, develop and further build the procurement contracting strategy, methodology and tools across the full contract lifecycle
  • define, develop and refine the category management strategy, including targeted approaches for subcontracting
  • design and strengthen the CSR procurement strategy, including related tools and governance
  • set up and improve the supplier relationship management strategy and processes
  • contribute to the mission, strategy and objectives of Procurement BeLux, in alignment with other teams
  • design, implement and take responsibility for procurement policies, processes and organisation
  • communicate and roll out Group and Equans BeLux procurement governance internally and externally, in consultation with the relevant parties
  • increase the visibility of procurement activities and the procurement organisation, both internally and externally
  • support and help shape initiatives within and outside the Group to position Procurement and strengthen synergies
  • manage, support and coach a team of procurement professionals
  • guide the team through procurement processes in line with the company’s code of ethics
  • create a working environment that attracts talent and where open dialogue and results-driven teamwork are central
  • support the team in developing a savings mindset and a structured approach
  • monitor, report on and help safeguard the achievement of procurement savings targets within scope
  • ensure savings reporting is carried out in line with applicable guidelines
  • contribute to achieving business and procurement objectives

Come as you are, ideally with:

  • a university master’s degree
  • more than 10 years of experience within multi-technical domains
  • experience in managing and coaching teams
  • in-depth expertise in procurement, including negotiations, category management, contracting and contract lifecycle management
  • good knowledge of financial and cost management, procurement and contract law, and CSR regulations
  • experience with standard procurement tools
  • good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • insight into operational business activities
  • strong communication and influencing skills, adapted to different stakeholders
  • ability to formally represent the organisation towards suppliers, auditors and consultants
  • very good verbal and written skills in English, French and Dutch, with regular high-level internal and external contacts
