Project Director | Modular Build

With a view to upcoming Modular Projects, Equans is looking for an experienced Project Director who will provide overarching supervision for one or more projects. In this role, you combine electromechanical expertise with coordination and collaboration, and you contribute to projects with visible impact and clear accountability.
Your mission is to plan, organise, coordinate and monitor all project activities in a structured manner, in line with contractual agreements, deadlines, budgets, and applicable safety and quality standards.

Your work location: Flanders (the site is located in Antwerp, Hoboken).
Your Equans base: Hoboken.

Zoom on the job:

• you manage your project and align with internal and external stakeholders
• you monitor planning, quality, safety, costs and revenues
• you safeguard timelines and, together with all involved parties, ensure contractual commitments are met
• you build long-term relationships with clients and conduct negotiations during project execution
• you carry out cost controls at fixed intervals
• you work with your team on budgeting and tender preparation
• you maintain contacts with suppliers, subcontractors and site teams
• you take responsibility for the technical detailing and follow-up of projects, in collaboration with the engineering office
• you define procedures and technical specifications
• you coordinate the commissioning of installations in consultation with all stakeholders
• you hold final responsibility for your projects and tenders
• you regularly share an executive summary with the Department and Division Manager
• you drive and implement continuous improvements at project level and provide clear direction

Come as you are, ideally with:

• a master’s degree in engineering
• at least 10 years of experience in contracting
• extensive experience in project and site management of large and/or complex projects in a national or international context, contracted as EPC and/or EPCm
• proven experience with large-scale projects
• broad technical knowledge
• familiarity with complex contractual structures
• the ability to coordinate a large organisation in a structured way
• proven leadership experience
• the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, with attention to the interests of Equans
• a decisive and persistent mindset, a proactive attitude, the ability to develop solutions and strong commercial insight
• strong communication skills: fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is an asset
