As a DBFM Tender Manager, you lead the tender process for complex infrastructure projects within the Mobility division of Equans Belux. You contribute to high-quality bids and strong contracts for the Belgian infrastructure market while working on projects such as Brabo II, Oosterweel and the Annie Cordy Tunnel.

Your work location: Aartselaar, with regular travel throughout Belgium. Partial homeworking is possible.

Zoom on the job:

  • you manage the entire tender process from A to Z
  • you analyse tender documents, contract conditions, project scope and planning, and identify technical and financial risks and opportunities
  • you coordinate communication between the tender teams of the companies and parties involved
  • you act as the first point of contact for the client
  • you work with specialists from contract management, Legal, Finance, Insurance, planning and technical disciplines
  • you inspire multidisciplinary teams to develop creative and competitive proposals within the contractual and technical framework of the specification
  • you lead the preparation, discussion and completion of Heads of Terms and the main industrial agreements
  • you report to the management committees of participating companies and partners
  • you ensure the correct application of internal guidelines, standards, norms and legal requirements
  • you guide internal approval processes and risk committees
  • you prepare bids and contribute to tender documentation in line with client requirements
  • you prepare and participate in technical and commercial clarification meetings
  • you continuously optimise bids to increase the chances of securing the contract
  • you build lasting relationships with strategic suppliers and subcontractors
  • you develop standards and processes that contribute to stronger and more competitive bids
  • you actively take part in strategic and tactical discussions, from project start-up to handover to the execution team

Come as you are, ideally with:

  • master’s degree in engineering or finance
  • preferably 10 years or more experience in tender management, although young graduates are also welcome to apply
  • good knowledge of common MS Office applications
  • knowledge of and experience in the efficient use of AI tools
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • commercial awareness and the ability to bring different stakeholders together around a common goal
  • pragmatic, proactive and solution-oriented approach
  • ability to work independently with a strong sense of integrity and professional ethics
  • natural leadership skills and the ability to guide teams
  • fluent knowledge of Dutch and English, both spoken and written, with French considered an asset
