In this role, you ensure that goods and services are available on time, with the right quality and in line with business, procurement and Group objectives. You work in a multi-technical environment, managing procurement projects together with internal and external partners and balancing performance, risk, compliance and innovation.

Your work location: Aartselaar/Braine-l’Alleud.

Zoom on the job:

  • contribute to the operationalisation and implementation of the mission, strategy and objectives of Procurement BeLux
  • manage and coordinate procurement support for global projects, aligning with other Procurement contributors where required
  • act as the central procurement point of contact for projects towards internal customers and other stakeholders
  • manage purchase requests in line with purchasing policies and service levels, including market consultation, negotiations and contracting
  • mainly handle files above €100k and/or critical files and/or highly complex projects
  • apply the strategic sourcing process with early involvement to support sourcing objectives
  • analyse categories and markets, including industry, suppliers, contractors and innovations, and map internal needs to determine the appropriate sourcing strategy
  • negotiate commercial agreements and formalise arrangements with a focus on added value and risk management
  • apply procurement policies and processes to support organisational objectives
  • communicate and apply Group and Equans BeLux procurement governance internally and externally
  • apply procurement methodology and use procurement tools, supported by Procurement Excellence
  • coach and support other buyer or lead buyer profiles where needed
  • support initiatives that increase the internal and external visibility of procurement activities
  • work towards, monitor and report on savings targets within your scope
  • ensure savings are reported in accordance with applicable guidelines
  • contribute to the achievement of business and procurement objectives
  • report to the Procurement Business Partner Infra

Come as you are, ideally with:

  • a master’s degree or equivalent through relevant experience
  • more than 5 years of experience in multi-technical environments
  • experience in coordinating large procurement projects
  • strong procurement knowledge, including negotiations, contracting, financial and cost management, contract and purchasing law
  • proficient use of procurement tools
  • good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • understanding of business activities within operational entities
  • clear communication skills and the ability to align viewpoints in a constructive way
  • ability to work smoothly with senior, middle and key stakeholders in diverse or complex environments
  • ability to represent the company professionally, internally and externally, including towards suppliers
  • fluent spoken and written communication in at least two of the following languages: English, French and Dutch
