Insurance Officer

As an Insurance Officer, you support the operational management of our insurance portfolio and ensure the accurate follow-up of insurance policies and claims. You work in an environment where you collaborate with internal departments, insurers and brokers while contributing to effective risk control across the organisation.

Zoom on the job:

• support the administrative follow-up and management of insurance policies
• assist with the timely renewal, adjustment and optimisation of insurance contracts
• analyse insurance documentation to ensure compliance and completeness
• handle claims from notification through to settlement
• maintain contact with insurers, intermediaries and internal stakeholders regarding claim progress
• verify claim payments
• advise internal departments on insurance-related questions and risks
• support risk analyses and propose additional insurance coverage when required
• maintain strong relationships with insurance companies, brokers and other external partners
• act as the internal point of contact for questions regarding insurance coverage, conditions and procedures
• collect and report data related to claims and insurance costs
• ensure accurate and well-structured administration of insurance files
• use the digital tools made available by the department

Come as you are, ideally with:

• a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as risk management or insurance
• a minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance, claims management or risk management (corporate risks, CAR and public liability operations)
• good knowledge of insurance conditions and relevant regulations
• strong ability to manage and follow up multiple files simultaneously
• confidence in using digital tools and administrative systems
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
• an analytical mindset with the ability to quickly understand complex information
• a structured, accurate and solution-oriented approach
• a proactive and independent attitude with a hands-on mentality
• a customer-focused and collaborative mindset
• proficiency in Dutch, French and English
